The Senger Cuddly Small Rust Goose is a limited edition version of Senger's much-loved geese, with beautiful natural rusty colour feathers and beige beak and feet. He doubles as both a weighted toy and a gentle heat pack for children. Our little goose has been handcrafted from all natural materials and contains a removable heat bag, filled with either cherry stones or grape seeds, that can be placed in the oven or microwave to heat or in the fridge to cool.

This sweet Senger Cuddly Animal is perfect for those cold nights in winter or when someone is sick with a tummyache. The weight of the pack also acts to provide a calming effect and give your child sensory feedback. Warmth and weight, the perfect combo.

WARNING: Fire danger, risk of fire if overheated. Do not overheat, risk of burns to the skin or of overheating in children.

To Heat:Remove the cherry stone/grape seed pillow through the toy's belly and heat it either in the microwave for approx. ½-1 minute at a maximum of 600W or in the oven at 75 degrees for around 3-5 minutes.  When heated, the cherry stone/grape seed pillow should be warm to the touch, the same as body temperature - a living, soothing warmth, never hot to the touch. Refer to warnings above, and only ever heat the removable pillow, not the entire toy.Never leave your pillow unattended while heating. Wait 30 seconds after heating before testing the outer heat and test the heat carefully before giving to a child. The inner filling may heat more than the outer filling. Guides given are average times - heating times or temperatures may vary in different ovens or microwave models. NEVER exceed recommended times or temperatures.

To Cool: Place the removable pillow only in the fridge for several hours or overnight.

Senger soft toys are traditional and beautiful, handmade using only the finest of natural materials, including pure sheep’s wool and organic cotton. They meet strict quality, safety and pollutant controls to ensure their toys are completely safe for children of all ages.

After every production step, each Senger animal is blown with compressed air and at the end of production they are also brushed and vacuumed. However, some loose fibres and fluff can remain; this is considered normal for Senger and can be vacuumed up.

Most Senger animals are filled with sheep's wool from controlled organic animal husbandry, obtained from wandering shepherds in the Eifel region. Sheep's wool filters pollutants from the room air, has a temperature-regulating effect, and absorbs moisture. Sheep's wool does have a natural odour. The smell is caused by lanolin, the natural wool fat that protects against dirt and makes the wool waterproof. It also protects the individual wool hair from drying out and becoming scratchy. The smell on your Senger toy will mostly disappear after a while, but never completely.

Care instructions:Always remove heat/cool pillow before washing. Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent or wool detergent. Please do not wring, rub or brush. After washing, squeeze out carefully and leave to dry lying on a towel, moving regularly to speed up the drying process. The wet smell from the wool will disappear once your friend is dry. Do not spin, tumble dry, brush, or wring, or dryclean. Do not use fabric softener as this might affect the dye.If any discolouration appears after washing, your Senger animal might have been left in the water for too long or water was not squeezed out properly after washing. If the fabric is left wet for a long continuous period, the dye from the warp yarn of the woven plush begins to bleed and the colour is transferred to the toy. Washing the item for a second time will generally help to remove discolouration.
