The Drewart Big Defensive Catapult is not only of the highest quality and instantly attractive to children, it really does work. Complete with two "rocks" (wooden balls) that sit neatly in little indentations until they are used, your child can draw back the arm of the catapult and let go, shooting the payload across the room.

The Large Catapult fits perfectly onto a Drewart Castle or Fastness Wall (pictured in two of the photographs but not included) so your child can defend their royal family and knights stationed inside. Perhaps they are under siege!

The Drewart Large Defensive Catapult is made from high quality European alder wood and has been carefully handcrafted by skilled workers in Europe. This is a true heirloom piece; simply beautiful to pass down to children and grandchildren.

This is a Mangonel style of catapult, invented in 400BC by the Romans. Its name comes from the Latin word "manganon", which means "engine of war". Mangonel catapults could fire as far as 400 metres.

Being hand-crafted, each of Drewart's beautiful wooden toys is unique, with slightly different shaping, paint finishes, wood grain, texture, and occasional wood knots showing. Please note they are not varnished.
